Our Glow in the Dark glaze is easy to use on greenware, bisqueware, or already-glazed ceramics. Simply apply the glaze and fire it to cone 06 for the best results. Remember to stir the contents before each use, as settling may occur. While the finish may not be glossy, you can achieve a shiny look by applying our low fire clear glaze (sold separately) and firing them together at cone 06.
Please note that pottery glazes must be fired in a pottery kiln and should not be used in a kitchen oven. Ensure that your kiln is calibrated to the correct temperature for the best outcome. While our glow glaze is non-toxic, it has not been tested for food safety, so it is not recommended for surfaces that come into contact with food.
Once fired, expose your ceramic piece to various light sources like UV light or daylight to charge the glow. The glaze will store the light energy and emit a gentle luminescence in the dark. The longer you expose it to light, the longer the glow will last.
